The town of Tirupati exists
because of the Venkateshwara
Temple. Located about
150 kms away from Chennai,
it well connected from
Chennai by rail and road.
Tirupati has its own airport
and is well connected
with the major cities
of the country. This pilgrim
town is in the Chitoor
district of Andhra Pradesh
and the Venkateshwara
temple is on the Tirumala
hills which comprises
of seven peaks.

places like a naturally
arched rock formation

ages called the Silathoranam.

flower garden covering
hundreds of acres. A variety
of flowers, especially
those needed for the pooja
like roses, lotuses, tulsi
etc are grown in plenty
and is self sufficient
to meet the demands of
the all the temples in
and around Tirumala. Several
Tanks and ponds exist
within the garden for
a perennial supply of
water.
